Consultation & Concept
We begin with a conversation about your event, inspiration, body confidence goals and budget. Bring screenshots, moodboards or colours you love. I’ll advise on silhouettes, fabrics and construction that suit your venue, season and personal style.
Sketch & Fabric Selection
You’ll receive a custom sketch with fabric recommendations—options include satin, lace, beaded lace, sequins, 3-Cat, Ankara and seshweshwe—plus linings and trims. We’ll review how the fabric behaves (drape, weight, sheen) so the dress looks exquisite in person and on camera.
Measurements & Pattern Drafting
I take detailed measurements and draft a pattern to your body. Where needed, I include boning, built-in cups, waist stays and non-slip finishing to ensure support and comfort without visible adjustments during your event.
Fittings (Calico to Final)
A first fitting (often in calico or partially built dress) checks proportion, neckline and movement—sitting, walking and dancing. Subsequent fittings refine the silhouette, place lace or beadwork and perfect length with your event shoes.
Finishing & Collection
Every seam is checked; hems are balanced; the gown is pressed and prepared with aftercare instructions. If you have a train, I can add a bustle or wrist loop for easy movement at the reception.

No. I design and make custom, made-to-measure garments only.
How much does a custom dress cost?
